As we approach the end of Spring 2022, I would like to
wish everyone a safe and productive summer. As you
are aware, the coronavirus imposed many challenges and
inconveniences in our lives over the past two years, and
we are very excited to be back to work and on the road
again, serving our members. NM811 has also implemented
an aggressive outreach program for remainder of 2022,
and we’ve added a Membership Outreach Coordinator, Mr.
Samuel Hernandez, to our staff to assist us in expanding
our classes on the Wide Area ticket process, using the Web
Portal to submit Locate Requests online, and providing
excavation law classes in both English and Spanish throughout the State of New Mexico.
NM811 would also like to take this opportunity to remind our members, excavators, contractors and industry leaders in the areas of Damage Prevention and Underground Safety that this year’s annual membership meeting will once again coincide with the Fall’s Annual 2022 NMRCGA Damage Prevention Summit to be held October 25-27, 2022. This change
of venue has afforded more members and conference participants an opportunity to meet NM811’s most currently elected board members, while joining us for a sponsored lunch, including a small gift, as a token of our appreciation for attending our event.
Finally, I would once again like to thank the dedicated staff of the New Mexico One-Call Center who are the backbone of this organization and who work so hard to support the needs of our membership. I have appreciated their hard work and willingness to assist other in addressing and coordinating the numerous activities associated with the day-to-day operations and as state-wide outreach activities throughout the year.
